Spring is on the Horizon and the team are hard at work organizing fun events for 2018. We are pleased to announce the start of a new Wing Cadets Season. Our Sunday afternoon training for youths and juniors aged 8+ will start again on the 22nd April.

Sessions run from 2:30 to 4:30 most Sunday's (see calendar for details).  We have a great range of boats, from Oppies, through Picos and Toppers to Fevas, Lasers and Visions.  The price is £70 for the season with a discounted price for siblings of £40.

What’s new in 2018?

Yes, it’s true; there are some changes to this years programme.

  • OnBoard – Over the winter period we applied to the RYA to become an OnBoard Training Centre. This means that we will get extra support and resources from the RYA towards Wing Cadets and our youth training programs. We have been sent lots of resources and goodies to give away! We are very excited about our new status and the enhanced training standards that we will be able to offer. Watch this space for future news about our OnBoard Festival and other exciting ways to get involved

  • ADULTS GO SAILING TOO! – This year we will also be running some informal adult coaching alongside Wing Cadets. If you feel you would benefit from some extra tips and advice from our instructors or you just want to get out on the water to practice and need an excuse then this is for you! This will run at the same time as cadets and is available free of charge. We will have 1 instructor in a powerboat to cover safety and give advice. They will also be able to assist with rigging and any theory topics that you would like to quiz us on! Please advise us if you would like to book a space on this.

  • ADULTS RYA Stage 1 – As last year this is a prerequisite for joining Wing Cadets so that you have the basics all figured out before you start. We have a course organized for 19 & 20 May or 26 & 27 Please contact us if you need to book onto a Stage 1 course.
